How Do I Get Rid Of My Pot Belly And Man Boobs?

Posted on 23. Jan, 2010 by admin in Man Boob Forum

I am a 18 year old teenager. I have lost 40 pounds since my freshman year of high school, but I still have a pot belly and man boobs. I am embarrased to take my shirt off at public pools. So what can I do to rid myself of this darn pot belly and man boobs?

OK. First of congrats on the 40 lbs. Great job. Now, to lose the manboobs, you need to do exercises that work your chest. That’s where boobs are, obviously. If you work out the chest, you’ll gain muscle (those are those pecs that all guys desire and slave over.) And obviously, gain muscle, you lose fat, which is the manboobs. Good exercises for this are pushups. Try as many as you possibly can do. Remember, do it with a fist, not an open palm. This puts unnecessary strain on your writs. Do pushups with fists! Also, bench press. Lie on your back and lift as much weight as you can. Try with a lower weight and slowly increase your weight as you get better, as you increase reps. Don’t have any barbells etc. and don’t want to go to the gym? Well, this is what I started doing at home. I took one of those baby book shelves I used to have. It’s a nice wooden box, about a foot in diameter, so it’s great to hold. Then I loaded it up with the Harry Potter series (Do you have them? Most kids/teenagers own them somewhere.) This is great because the entire series weighs 20 pounds. I did 3 reps of 20 and I can feel it in my chest right now. Also, to get rid of your potbelly, do situps, crunches, (And preferably jackknives). Do as many reps as possible. Always remember, do 10 more than you think you can. If you stop right when the pain starts, you’re merely doing as much as you can. You need to do MORE than you can. No pain, no gain. Always strive to do better than your pain allows. Do it until it hurts, not until it’s ABOUT to hurt.
Also, this is the biggest secret: Drink drink drink drink WATER! Six glasses a day, best if more. I drink as much water as I can a day. It flushes out your system, and its 0 calories, so you’re not putting anything into your body. You’ll go to the bathroom a lot, but its flushing out your system. Good luck!

First of all, you should be very proud of those 40 pounds you took off. That is no small accomplishment! One of the things to keep in mind is that there is no way to put weight (in the form of fat) on or take it off in targeted areas. If you are prone to putting weight on in those areas, you might simply have a little more work ahead of you in terms of losing weight. I’d consult a doctor first though, as there are some other things you can do to recover your looks after a lot of weight loss.

Damn that first b***h was harsh.
I would keep up with the fat burning work outs like running and the elliptical. Keep ur heart rate around 115 bpm (beats per min). This is a good range for burning fat. Also try to tone the areas that are giving u problems. Start lifting with low weight with a high amount of repetitions. Like on the bench press start at 90 lbs and do like 5 sets of 15 or 16 repetitions

It’s all about what you eat. Just east healthly and exercise and the belly should go away. As for man boobs you should lift weights and convert them into pecs (bench is the best for that).

yeah ellen thats a great way to get him going by being a douche. But on the bright side shes right just exercise and watch what you eat and you should go down in those areas over time

LISTEN:
The way to reduce the appearance of “man boobs” is to focus solely on incline bench / incline flys until your incline strength is noticeably stronger than your normal bench; you should alternate between days of light weight / high reps and days of of heavy weight / low reps. This, in combination with dips and cable crossovers (and diet/cardio if you’ve got fat) will define the entire chest while enlarging only the upper pecs.
