The first initial weight loss is water and occurs in the first 2 weeks, and as long as you ensure you stay hydrated you will prevent your body from retaining this excess water in the future. Once you have done this you can begin to burn excess fat efficiently, just be patient, and remember to start of slow and build up! Too many people take on too much too soon and expect too much! Slow and steady does indeed win this race!
p.s. also be sure to eat something in the &quot;golden hour&quot; after exercise, I recomment a fruit bar or a bowl of cereal!
