Best Way To Lose Belly/chest Fat?
Posted on 07. Feb, 2010 by admin in Man Boob Forum
I am looking to loose about 20lbs, I’ve already lost about 40, but I’m having a little bit of trouble right now. The majority of my fat resides on my upper body/torso. I’ve done some research and and saw that it is best to do cardio workouts to lose fat. What cardio workouts are the best? I’m looking at doing things at home so are there any videos that are any better than the other ones? I know a lot of people are going to suggest running, but I choose not to run because I get shin splints very easily, and I have incredibly weak ankles (in the past month I rolled it twice). Thanks for the input.

yes ur right cardio is best way to burn fat , doing sits up will only just build muscle around the abs so dont listern to what the comment above me said.
u dont like running? u want to do cardio at home? ok ermm.. how about skipping/ jump rope?.. or if u got a rowing machine u could just place in front of the tv and row away?
but to be honest if your not in any rush to loose weight how about you join a sports club . i play alot of basketball and work up a big sweat that way.
either way if your goin to do anyof the above you are gonna have to make sure you ankles are strapped up and supported.
also its all when and good doing the cardio exercises but if your gonna just then go get a bigmac and extra fries after ur workout, u might aswell just forget it, make sure ur diet is good or its just all pointless.
hope i helped

What a coincidence, I am trying to loose some lbs too! What do is I stretch for 5 min get on the elliptical for 20 min a day and then I do 35 sit-ups, 20 Push-ups, then I lay on my side and I lift one leg off the ground while the other stays in place on the ground. I do 35 of those on each side. There is also cardio DVDs you can buy at Barnes and Noble or any bookstore. Also a good way to loose weight around your stomach is it watch your diet. While you are picking up your cardio DVD I would also pick up a south beach diet book or some dieting book.

The first answer you’ve been given is pure cowcrap – you CANNOT ’spot lose’ fat. Fat goes from wherever it goes from.
I suggest you consult a sports physio, who may be able to suggest exercises to strengthen your ankles, or recommend some supports.
Sit-ups/abdo crunches WILL NOT get rid of belly fat. They’ll tighten the muscles, sure, but they’ll do nothing to shift the fat.
The first respondent is a f*ckwit talking out his backside.

Yes do cardio, but you need to gain muscle too so lift weights and drink 100% whey protein and make yourself sweat, sweat, sweat. Also wrap up in saran wrap to help lose the fat quicker..it really works. My mom did this when I was little, now I do it and it really helps and is cheap. You might like the tae bo (spelling) workouts
Don’t forget to load up on veggies especially the dark green ones and the more colorful the better and lean meats…fish-tuna, turkey, chicken and eat grapefruit every day.
If you can, swimming would be good.
Key is to change up your workout too.
Also eat whatever you want one day a week to throw your metabolism off.

Central obesity, commonly referred to as belly fat, is the accumulation of fat deposited between the internal organs in the torso resulting in an increase in waist size. There is a strong correlation between central obesity and cardiovascular disease.
Prevention
Performing adequate aerobic exercise and eating a healthy diet prevent central obesity, and losing weight via these methods is the main way to reverse the condition.
Aerobic exercise
Aerobic exercise refers to exercise that involves or improves oxygen consumption by the body. Aerobic means “with oxygenâ€, and refers to the use of oxygen in the body’s metabolic or energy-generating process. Many types of exercise are aerobic, and by definition are performed at moderate levels of intensity for extended periods of time. To obtain the best results, an aerobic exercise session involves a warming up period, followed by at least 20 minutes of moderate to intense exercise involving large muscle groups, and a cooling down period at the end.
Healthy diet
A healthy diet involves consuming nutrients by eating the appropriate amounts from all of the food groups, including an adequate amount of water. Since human nutrition is complex, a healthy diet may vary widely, and is subject to an individual’s genetic makeup, environment, and health. For around 20% of the human population, lack of food and malnutrition are the main impediments to healthy eating.Conversely, people in developed countries have the opposite problem; they are more concerned about obesity.
