Already Thin, But Cannot Lose “man Boobs”?

Posted on 16. Jan, 2010 by admin in Man Boob Forum

I have been all over the web searching for solutions to lose the extra fat on my chest, “man boobs” or pseudogynecomastia and gynecomastia. I would like to save the surgery for last because it is expensive and, well…its surgery. Lots of people say eat 5-6 small meals, cardio, weight training, “iron squeeze” etc.
Well I am 6′2, 143 lbs, i have less than 4% body fat “skinfold fat test”, im very thin actually, i just cannot lose my chest fat. I used to be 185lbs 3%body fat (save for chest) but very built. But i soon stopped caring about muscle and found that i fell the best all around at a really light weight, plus i really dont care about being “ripped” and all that. I got down to 130 lbs when i ate around 200 calories a day and walked over 10 miles a day for 3 weeks (Backpacking through “Kudistan”) Anyways even then my chest fat remained.
So now i eat 5-6 small meals, i some times do HITT but mostly just run. How do i go about losing my chest fat but without building muscle?

Why you taking it seriously. I was in Japan, and in hotel bathroom, Japanese normally look at my chest, but I never bothered. It is Ok my dear.

First, your backpacking trip sounds pretty cool. Second, man your skinny lol. I dunno how to lose it besides lipo, but sometimes that is just how your body composition is. Fat may store there and there might not be anything you can do about it. It sounds like you pretty much did all that you can do short of liposuction. But I wouldn’t really recommend doing that, just cuz its unatural. All i can think of at this point is to seek a doc’s opinion. good luck.

Get off the computer and go to the gym. Running does not exercise the chest. Try lifting weights. Sweat them off and you won’t have to worry about cosmetic surgery.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but surgery is the only real option for this condition. Gynecomastia is not caused by excessive body fat but by actual development of breast tissue. A skilled plastic surgeon can easily remove the tissue but most insurance companies will not cover it because it is considered cosmetic. Don’t starve you self it is a waste of time because that is not the problem. It is actually a pretty common condition especially in boys just entering puberty for some reason or another some boys grow into men but the situation does not go away and the breast tissue actually matures. I’m sorry I don’t have a better solution but talk to the doctor about it that is the only true way to treat your condition.

I just saw a program on this recently. It is a myth that you can lose your “man boobs” throught dieting or exercise because it is actual breast tissue, not fat. Exercising your pectoral muscles will actually cause them to protrude even further because the pectoral muscles underlying the breast tissue is more developed. If you truly have gynecomastia, surgery is really your only option to eliminate them completely.
